EDUCATION TOPICS Family Fun with Books This interactive presentation encourages parents and children to participate in fun and educational activities that will enhance reading together at home. Janet Wolf, Adjunct Faculty Target Audiences: AG, GS
GED, Literacy and Other Programs for Adults Entering Jobs Focus on Southwestern Illinois College's GED (high school equivalency) and literacy programs at various locations throughout the college district with this presentation. The number of GED graduates from Southwestern exceeds the number of graduates at many area high schools annually. The pre-employment needs of adults vary with age and circumstances, but certain themes remain constant. What Do You Do When Johnny's 18 and Still Can't Read? This presentation discusses and demonstrates strategies used in the college classroom to help adults improve their reading skills.
